Maartje contacted me because she wanted a custom letter logo design for her company. Maartje is an enologist who imports unique wines from primarily Italy.
The literal translation of ‘Il Dolce Far Niente’ is the sweetness of doing nothing. It’s an Italian saying and lifestyle. Maartje’s goal is to introduce this lifestyle to the Netherlands. “In The Netherlands, we are always busy with our careers and success, and due to stress, we forget to enjoy the beautiful, small things in life,” says Maartje.
She wanted her logo to represent and embody this. I designed the logotype with that in mind. The result is a simple, elegant logo with a playful touch that is very recognizable and pairs well with the logo mark.
