Design holiday packaging for your favorite treat and include the quote: “It’s tough being on everyone’s wish list” on the package.
I love chocolate, especially dark chocolate with orange pieces, and I admire Tony’s Chocolonely’s mission, as well as its branding: “Together We’ll End Exploitation in Cocoa.” I wanted to create a piece that combines Tony’s Chocolonely’s fun and attractive Christmas packaging with specific Christmas elements I enjoy, such as a piece of string that can be used to decorate gifts, in the kitchen for Christmas dinner, or to hang ornaments (see the word tough).
I aimed to highlight the phrase ‘wish list’ so it would stand out and immediately catch everyone’s attention, as it’s the primary focus of my artwork. To unify everything, I used imagery of a Tony’s Chocolonely bar and wrapper for decoration, along with a custom pattern I designed for the background, which blended the illustrations used on the Christmas wrappers with Tony’s Chocolonely’s logo.
