I created this Artwork after taking an online workshop at Adobe Max in 2020, called “Brush Love” with Debi Sementelli and Laura Worthington. I wanted to improve my brush lettering and get some extra practice. As seen above, I drew my first sketches with brush letters in mind. I pivoted because I felt that mono-lettering matched better with my chosen quote.

I found the quote I used in Marieke Eyskoot’s book, Dit is een Goede Gids (also translated into English as This is a Good Guide), about sustainable living. The quote resonated because I prefer healthy, simple, non-processed, plant-based food.

I love how some logotypes are animated. The animated logotype of De Correspondent (an online newspaper in the Netherlands) inspired the animation of this quote. This SkillShare class taught me how to do it, and I love the result!
